Employment in the Recycling and Waste Sector within Yorkshire and Humberside is estimated  at 10,000 with a conservative estimate of 2% annual increase over the next 4 to 5 years. This growth is accompanied by an increase in the skills demands on the sector.

Finding and retaining staff with the right professional experience and qualifications is findamental to the productivity and competitiveness in the fast growing recycling sector.

RAY has conducted research to identify training courses and support organisations, across the region and the UK, that offer advice and courses on all aspects of recycling and waste management.

Information about the course available is contained within the WYTAP, West Yorkshire Training Access Point, data base. This data base is used by business advisers across the region.
